Donate Stuff to a Teacher's Classroom!
Teachers often reach into their own pockets to provide needed supplies for their classrooms. Say thank you by bringing in pens, paper, art supplies, and more. Ask your teacher what supplies he or she needs most in the classroom. You can also visit DonorsChoose to help fund a teacher's classroom project or the Ed Fund to support ongoing teacher training opportunities.

Join a Parent or Community Organization that Supports Our Schools!
There are many to choose from in San Francisco. Here are just a few:
- Your school's PTA or the San Francisco PTA, part of the largest volunteer advocacy organization in the nation. The national PTA started Teacher Appreciation Week many years ago and offers a variety of teacher appreciation ideas and resources.
- Parents for Public Schools-San Francisco, a network of parents working together to build and ensure quality public education for all children in San Francisco.
- Coleman Advocates for Children and Youth, a local child advocacy organization working to improve the well-being of San Francisco�s children, youth and their families.
- Chinese for Affirmative Action, working with a broad range of community members to inform and educate the San Francisco Unified School District about the educational needs of Chinese students.
